<ul><li>Geartex EP-5 products are designed for use in hypoid final drives, steering systems, non-synchronized transmissions and transaxles that require API GL-5 compliant fluid</li></ul>
<ul><li>Due to the friction behavior of Geartex EP-5 products, they are generally not suitable for use in synchronized manual transmissions and transaxle transmissions and should only be used in such cases if a GL-5 fluid is expressly recommended</li> </ul>
<ul><li>Operating temperatures above +100 °C lead to a significant reduction in the service life of the fluid. The peak operating temperature should not exceed +120 °C</li></ul>
<ul><li>Note: The specifications for Mercedes-Benz axle oil include a minimum viscosity requirement that Geartex EP-5 SAE 80W-90 does not meet. Although this viscosity grade is suitable for MB 235.0 applications, Geartex EP-5 85W-90 should be used where an approved product is specified</li></ul>
