Bei einer beschädigten Kopfdichtung oder dem Kopf selbst entsteht ein Teil der Abgase. enthält unter anderem CO2 gelangt in das Kühlsystem. Das Funktionsprinzip des Gerätes basiert auf der Messung des CO2-Gehalts im Kühlsystem. Die Reaktionsflüssigkeit in der Prüfkammer reagiert mit Gasen aus dem Kühlsystem und verändert bei erhöhtem CO2-Gehalt ihre Farbe. Der Zweikammeraufbau des Gerätes (mit Filter zwischen den Kammern) ermöglicht die Abscheidung von Rückständen in der ersten Kammer (z. B. Kühlmitteltropfen). Dies könnte sich negativ auf das Testergebnis auswirken.Hinweis: Bei der Prüfung ist die Kühlertemperatur sehr hoch. Seien Sie besonders vorsichtig!Die Reaktionsflüssigkeit kann Haut- und Augenreizungen verursachen.Wenn die Flüssigkeit mit der Haut oder den Augen in Berührung kommt, spülen Sie sie mit reichlich Wasser aus.
